Description: "This debate will be on the ethical and legal issue of assisted suicide in the UK. We have a panel of speakers who have campaigned on both sides, including Debbie Purdy and ethicist Mary Warnock, who will be speaking for the motion that 'Assisted Suicide Should be Legal in the UK', and Lord Carlile QC, Baroness Finlay (Professor of Palliative Medicine), and Lord Harries (Gresham professor of Divinity and author of Questions of Life and Death: Christian Faith and Medical Intervention), who will be speaking against the motion.

The debate promises to be engaging and informative, and quite probably emotional, too. This is a chance to hear the impassioned arguments of both sides, and within each side, the different reasons for their convictions on this issue. There is also the chance to ask the panel your own questions after they have made their initial arguments. The entire content of the debate is made available via live screening to hundreds of subscribers, and thousands of people will listen to the free podcast."
