Reflections on media coverage of the Commission on Assisted Dying.
The issue of assisted dying is often in the news, and as Press and Campaigns Manager I do worry that people will get bored of the issue, and the media will stop wanting to cover it. I needn’t have worried ahead of the Commission on Assisted Dying launching their Report last Thursday. The media interest was phenomenal. The coverage covered the full spectrum of views and didn’t always conclude in favour of legalising assisted dying, but the debate was yet again re-ignited proving that the issue remains high in the public consciousness.
