Dignity is fundamental in care for elderly people.
The home care review by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) launched today has found that basic care for the elderly in their own homes in England is so bad it breaches human rights at times. The review found that whilst about half of people who had given evidence reported real satisfaction with care, a number of serious complaints were commonly made by others.
